Dr Indrani did her M.B.B.S in Kilpauk Medical college and her Diploma in Child Health & M.D paediatrics. She is the other director of Mediscan and the key force to promote clinical studies that develop and improve the screening skills in the core area of fetal medicine, surrounding the diagnosis, treatment, and care of high risk expectant mothers and their unborn babies. She also heads Mediscan’s education department
She was the person behind complimentary ultrasound services to Army Personnel at Chennai Military Hospital during the IPKF operations.
With her social consciousness that exhibits a sense of responsibility, ultrasound scans at Subsidized charges are being provided, since 1995 at VHS and at Mediscan low income group scan center.
She is also the woman behind Dr. Suresh to reach advance Fetal Screening, Diagnosis and Therapy to the benefit of the underprivileged in order to enhance fetal and newborn health and facilitate supportive medical care for children born with prenatally undetected metabolic disorders for improved quality of living and the the support group now has 450 families with children with Mucopolysaccharidosis and other inborn errors of metabolism that manifest as Lysosomal storage disorders.
