Dr. Sujatha Jagadeesh after graduating from Tanjore Medical College got her Diploma (DNB) from the National Board of Pediatric Medicine.
In the year 1997 she joined Mediscan as consultant Dysmorphologist and she has a practice of 25 years of clinical genetics that involves diagnosis of fetal defect or disorder that will be used for the development of genetically directed therapies and preventive interventions.
She is Currently the Chairperson of Genetics chapter, IAP
Board member of IMAB – providing Enzyme Replacement Therapy for children having Lysosomal Storage Disorders.
She was the key person behind First/ Second trimester maternal screening & Newborn screening programs of Mediscan and the surveillance program on the incidence of birth defects The Birth Defects registry of India, run by Fetal Care Research foundation
She is one of the trustees of Fetal Care Research Foundation
